CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy strengthens your body’s ability to take care of you.  It helps alleviate a wide range of illness pain and dysfunction, including:

Migraines and Headaches, Chronic Neck and Back Pain, Motor-Coordination Impairments, Stress and Tension, Infant disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries, chronic fatigue, scoliosis, emotional difficulties, TMJ, post traumatic stress disorder, and many other conditions.

CranioSacral Therapy is performed on a person fully clothed.  Using a light touch-generally no more then a nickel-the practitioner monitors the rhythm of the CranioSacral system to detect potential restrictions and imbalances.  The therapist then uses delicate manual techniques to release those problem areas and relieve undo pressure on the brain and spinal cord. A CranioSacral Therapy session can last from about 15 minutes to more than an hour, and the initial evaluation is often enough to correct a problem.  The result? A central nervous system free of restrictions.  And a body that’s able to return to its greatest levels of performance.

Lymph Drainage Technique

Surgery, trauma, burns, infections, substantial swelling, fatigue, stress or age can cause muscular units inside our lymph system to work improperly and cause stagnation.  Lymph drainage is a hands on technique designed to attain and sustain proper functioning of the human fluid system.  The pressure involved is about the weight of a nickel, for clients the process is very pleasurable and induces deep states of relaxation. Lymph  Drainage Therapy works to help recirculate body fluids, detoxify, stimulate function of the immune system, and provide a state of relaxation and balance within the autonomic nervous system.  Lymph drainage therapy can be performed through light clothing.

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands or ears. It is believed that these “reflex points” correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the organs and persons general health. Reflexology also stimulates the nervous system to release tension.  Clients report complete or partial improvement in conditions where they sought reflexology to help. A healing foot soak is included in your reflexology session.

Bowenwork is a system of muscle and connective tissue therapy that was developed by Tom Bowen of Austalia in the 1950s. Its roots may have originated thousands of years ago by migrating ninja monks.  It utilizes small but measured “gentle rolling moves” to the body with pauses inbetween moves to give the clients body time to integrate.

Bowenwork addresses the entire body by restoring balance via the Autonomic Nervous System(ANS). The (ANS) controls over 80% of the bodily functions and is very susceptible to external stressors.  Many people today live in a constant state of high stress.  Bowenwork affects a shift to a rest, relax, repair model. Deep relaxation reactivates the recovery process from trauma, illness, or surgery.

Bowenwork has shown a success rate of 85% in the relief of many specific injuries and other health problems, both acte and chronic, such as: arthritic pain, TMJ, stroke recovery, stress, digestion, insomnia and many other conditions.

A session lasts approximately 20-50 minutes and can be done through light clothing.
